What positive effects does electric mobility have on Germany as a location for industry?

As an economic factor and a driver of growth electric mobility is having an enduring impact on our industrialized society through innovative products and services, which are also in demand globally. Electric mobility creates new value chains across industries, which – aside from the automotive industry – include the energy sector, IT and communications companies and mobility service providers. An economic analysis shows that the investments in electric mobility are worthwhile for Germany because, among other things, they can create an additional 30,000 jobs by 2020. In June 2016, the National Platform Electric Mobility (NPE) has published the report "Impact of a comprehensive promotion of electric mobility on the labor market" on the subject.
